Vinita was born in 1965 in Delhi into a Christian family of professionals. She was schooled in Delhi, graduated from Delhi University in Economics as my major subject.
Vinita trained as a journalist an have 2 diplomas in Mass communication and Journalism.
Vinita worked with Tata McGraw Hill Publishers, Delhi for two years.
She was called to full time Christian ministry in 1988 and has served with TWR since then, in the following capacities:
- Editorial Assistant
- Manager, Broadcaster Relations
- Regional Director for South Asia
Vinita has a certificate in Ministerial studies from Union Biblical Seminary, Pune and am currently pursuing M.Div. from Union Biblical Seminary.
For the last 3 years, she has served as CEO of TWR-India
Vinita serves on the Board of EFICOR, a social relief wing of EFI
She writes for newspapers and Magazines (AIM, IMA, Light of Life), and is invited very often to minister/ take sessions for the women, youth, clergy and Pastors’ wives within India as well as overseas.
Presently, Vinita is in the midst of compiling a book containing TWR listeners’ transformation stories.
Vinita is married to Rev. Timothy Shaw for the last 16 years. She has served with him in 4 parishes of Delhi Diocese, Church of North India.
They have two children, Ruth, 15 and Samuel 11. They Live in New Delhi.
