Janet Morgan was born in the USA where she lived until early adulthood. She obtained a BA in 1973 and went on to study mathematics and education.
Having a concern for the nurture of children and young people she became a secondary school teacher. In 1979, responding to God’s call to special ministry, she moved to the UK where she was instrumental in developing church based children and youth ministry in London and North Wales. Joining the Scripture Union staff in 1984, she served for twelve years as Holiday Missions Coordinator and Head of Missions before moving to Australia in 1996 to take up the position of Director of SU Victoria.
Janet was appointed SU International Director in 2004 with a special focus on staff support and strategic development. She is involved in various networks including serving on the Board of Forum of Bible Agencies International. She continues to live in Melbourne and travels a great deal in her international role.
