Pen Pals (Again) - Another Christian group responds to last fall’s Muslim letter advocating for peace.- Christianity Today
Five months after 138 Muslim clerics and scholars penned a plea for inter-religious and world peace, “
A Common Word Between Us and You”—and four months after the Yale Center for Faith and Culture responded with “Loving God and Neighbor Together”—the World Evangelical Alliance has released its own response to the Muslim document. Religious Liberty:
Philippines: Catholic Cathedral targeted in Zamboanga
A crude but powerful bomb exploded outside Zamboanga's large modern metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 4:20am on Sunday 13 April. While it caused no injuries, that was not the intention of the bombers.

West Papua: 45 Years of Indonesian Rule
When Indonesia declared its independence from Holland in 1949, the Dutch insisted that West Papua (West or Dutch New Guinea) not be considered part of Indonesia as the Papuans were Melanesian and predominantly Christian, while the Indonesians were Malay and Asian and predominantly Muslim.

Burma: Pray for Openness and Liberty
Pioneer American missionary Adoniram Judson arrived in Burma in 1813. He was 24 years old and Burma was a hostile place. Judson laboured for six years before seeing even one convert. In 1828 a former slave and hardened criminal named Ko Tha Byu became the first ethnic Karen to receive Christ.

Malaysia: the Great Apostasy Debate stirs again
On 8 May, media across the world ran with the news: "Malaysian woman can leave Islam." (BBC headline) Jurist, which reports legal news, commented: "Religious rights groups hailed the decision as a landmark ruling for interfaith relations."

Lebanon: A Massive Crisis
Since the 2003 fall of Baghdad, ascendant Iran has been forcefully spreading its tentacles. Iran's Shi'ite dictators are moving to replace the Sunni Arab dictators as the leaders of the Muslim world and to replace the US as the dominating power in the Middle East.

Tajikistan: Reviewing Religious Laws
The Vietnam regime's current crackdown has swept up several significant Christian human rights advocates such as Father Nguyen van Ly and human rights lawyer and religious liberty advocate Nguyen van Dai. This raises questions for religious liberty advocates.
