Southern Sudan: On the path to war.
On 31 December 2004, Sudan's ruling National Congress Party ((NCP) formerly the National Islamic Front (NIF)) and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) signed a Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), bringing to an end 21
years of civil war and Islamic jihad.  ……" 'We're on a path back toward war,' said David Mozersky, the Horn of Africa
project director for International Crisis Group (ICG), which researches conflicts around the world. 'We're seeing a military build-up on both sides,' he said, '(and) the partnership between the two sides has broken down.' "

Muslims: Ramadan Night of Power
Christians are persecuted to greater or lesser degrees in all Islamic and Muslim majority states and regions. This arises from the Quran promoting Muslim superiority and supremacy, while decrying  Jews and Christians as corrupted peoples who are not to be befriended or trusted. Unifying and rallying his followers, Mohammed protected his power and his Islam by making apostasy and blasphemy capital offences and by demonising non-Muslims. These factors lead to the persecution of Christians and are the main reasons why evangelising Muslims has historically been so difficult.

Northern Nigeria: Persecution Intensifies; plus Gaza
Historically liberation from Sharia has only ever been gained through costly war so Nigeria's central government erred tragically in 2000 when it did not nip the northern Sharia movement in the bud and ban Sharia as being unconstitutional. Whilst Christians have always been persecuted in Nigeria's Muslim-dominated northern states, persecution has intensified since Sharia was enacted.  Sharia not only institutionalises religious discrimination and persecution, it provokes Islamic zeal and intolerance and the Muslim sense of superiority soars. The whole environment becomes incendiary.

Iraq: War, Terror and Western Complicity
In February 2007 Abu Omar Al-Baghdadi, al-Qaeda's appointed head of the 'Islamic State of Iraq', released an audio recording in which he threatened coalition forces ('Crusaders') and local Eastern Christians ('Byzantines'). He railed, 'We are not afraid of your coalitions . . . We have drunk blood [in the past] and we find no [blood] sweeter than that of the Byzantines [Christians] . . . Roast their flesh with car bombs, cut off their supply lines with [explosive] charges and tear out their hearts with sniper fire . .  . be careful not to lay down your weapons before the war is over . . .

Burma - Statement issued by the Evangelical Fellowship of Asia
It is with deep anguish and shock that we learn of the violent attack on Buddhist monks and civilians who were engaged in a peaceful protest in Burma during the past week.  We are appalled by the violent repression of unarmed protestors by the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC) and the subsequent raids on Buddhist temples, rounding up Buddhist monks and activists. >>Help the Oppressed People of Myanmar (Burma):
